"Error creating disk image" using new Mac & OS X 10.10.1
« on: November 24, 2014, 08:53:31 PM »
I have successfully encrypted the first folder OK, but when I try to create the second (by dragging to Espionage) I get the following error message:

"Error during copy: The file “Working results” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file.
Could not copy all of: /Users/johnwreathall/Documents/NRC/SNL/Working results
See system log for more."

On a previous machine, I had no problem encrypting this folder. I copied the folder over after removing it from being encrypted on the previous machine and am now trying to store it on the new machine.

I am not a particularly savvy user so made need guidance if I need to read the system log file (located where?)

Never mind. Rebooting and restarting solved the problem.  ;D

Thanks for the info, strange that reboot fixed it, is it maybe that you modified the folder you were protecting during the encryption process...but in any case, good that it works now, if you encounter problems again, just let me know.
