Espionage 3 for Multiple Users
« on: October 23, 2014, 02:07:24 PM »
My wife's hardrive failed and the installer put Maverick on the new system.  We had Esp 2.8 on both our Mac's. We can upgrade to Esp 3, but can we use it with my Mac as well?  Thanks  DaveS

Hello, the idea is that you can use the license on all Macs you own, i.e you are working on. So if you have a desktop and laptop, or home mac and office mac, the license is valid for both. But your wife's mac is not the mac you use, so you would need another license on it. There is a family option when you purchase the license, this will make the license valid for 5 family members.

I hope this helps,

Thank you.

Should I uninstall Esp 2.8 before installing Maverick and then Esp 3?

Yes, please do so. The best way is to unlock espionage, select each folder one by one, and click onto minus sign in the lower left corner. This will decrypt the folder and return it into normal state.
Once you have all your data back, select uninstall option from the Espionage's Espionage menu, this will remove it properly.
Then upgrade the OS, download and setup Espionage 3 and add your folders back to it.

If you have any further questions, just ask.

So we have a Family Lifetime license.  How do we download v 3.8 and insert the file with the license agreement we purchased in 2011?

Thanks

Hello Dave, there is no Espionage 3.8, the 3.6.1 is the last version, but probably it is just a typo.
If you have Espionage 2 family license, it will not work with Espionage 3.
I cannot verify in our database which licenses you have as I do not have neither your name nor the email address. You can mail me at taoeffect@macmesupport.com and I can check for you.

If you do not have Espionage 3 license then you will have to purchase one, or one with family option.
There is also a lifetime upgrade option, if you select it, all future versions will be free for you.
