Restoring folders from Espionage's backups

Backups are stored in a folder called EspionageBackups, at the location that is specified as the destination for Espionage's backups. This folder is organized like so:

EspionageBackups/<username>/<number>/folder

To restore a folder:

  1. Open the folder with your username inside of the EspionageBackups folder
  2. Look through all the numbered folders until you find the folder you'd like to restore. Remember, this folder may appear to be empty, but it is not.
  3. Copy this folder to the location where you would like it to reside in.
  4. Once the folder is copied to its new location, drag it onto Espionage, or add it from within Espionage. Since version 2.1, Espionage will auto-detect the folder's encryption setting1.
  5. In the sheet that appears, enter the password that was used to encrypt the folder originally.

1 If you're using an older version of Espionage and are not able to update to the latest version then you must make sure that you choose the encryption setting that was originally used to encrypt the folder.
