first password usage?

I just downloaded and installed the program. The first time I was prompted to enter the password, it is invalid. The password to open the program, that is. I drug the icon into the application folder to install. I did this before typing anything, perhaps missing a step. Is there a way to reload it? I don't seem to be able to delete it. Any help is appreciated
