Migrating Espionage 3 between Macs

Hi there, I am new to this forum and tried to search for an answer to this, so apologies if I have missed something already explained.

I have tried to move Espionage 3 and my vaults from an old Mac laptop to a new Mac Mini. I copied the locked mount point folders across and the sparse bundles and the database.

However, there seems to be an issue because the user names of the computers are not the same and I can't find a way to point to the new mount points, even though the folder structure is the same.

I experimented with a symlink which brought the old user name to the new Mac, without actually changing the user account and the folders mounted but then wouldn't dismount again.

Has anyone got any advice?

Cheers, Dominic

Hello Dominic, first of all, sorry for the late reply, I somehow missed your post.
You did well by migrating the database, sparsebundles and the locked folders. All you can do is, as you correctly guessed, point Espionage to the same folders but with changed path.
To do that, click onto small "i" near the folder name in the Espionage folder list and a new window will show up with various folder related options. One of the dropdown menus says "Mountpoint" and when clicked, the options "choose" will be shown, click that one and a standard folder selection dialog will appear, select the proper folder and Espionage will update the path, after that it should start to work normally, no restart of any kind is needed.
Let me know if you need any further assistance
Cheers
