Hi,

Just bought and installed Espionage on my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard and Intego NetBarrier X5 installed.  Tried encrypting a folder with client's property pics and details docs (600MB) but keep getting this message;

Critical Alert - Can't encrypt folder because we're unable to move original to the trash

Have since tried with 4 other folder of various docs and sizes with the same result.  Can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong?

Cheers

greg

Hi there,

Two questions and one request:

- Are you using any antivirus software?
- Do you have FileVault enabled?

Could you please download and run this diagnostic utility (and be *sure* to mention this thread in the comments).

Hi Greg,

Ran the diagnostic utility and report has been submitted.

Answer to your questions;
Yes, have Intego's Virus Barrier X5 and their NetBarrier X5 installed.
No, FileVault is not enabled.

I would try disabling or uninstalling the antivirus software and then trying again to see if it works, sometimes antivirus software can do funky stuff (we have received a small number of reports of conflicts between Espionage and certain antivirus software, why this is I don't really know, as Espionage isn't doing anything out-of-the-ordinary in these situations).  :|

If that works then after you've setup all your folders you can enable/re-install the software and hopefully things should go smoothly (although on the Mac antivirus software generally is not as important as it is on the PC).
