I created a folder set that I now want to remove. How do I remove a folder set?

Hello, you cannot remove a folder set. I know it might look bad, but in fact this makes not harm at a all.
What you should do is open that folder set, remove all folder from it, and then simply make yourself forget the password you used for it, and it will vanish
There is no drawback of any kind having this folderset still there if you do not use it.

Thanks. I just de-encrypted all folders. Then uninstalled e3, removed all lingering
taoeffect contents under ~user/Library and then re-installed e3. That gave me the
clean slate that I wanted.

Sure, that is an option too, if you can afford to decrypt all the folders you added.
