Title: Problem with SyncServices
Post by: jwyoung5 on September 13, 2010, 07:19:46 AM
I've got Espionage set up to encrypt Mail, iCal, Address book & SyncServices. It's been setup that way for a while, and everything worked fairly well until a recent upgrade.  I first noticed that my XMarks for Safari wasn't syncing.  When I try to manually sync, I get this message:  "You have disabled syncing on this computer.  Open iSync, go to 'File>Preferences', and enable sync".  If I try to open iSync, I get the message that the Sync Manager is not available. Opening the MobileMe system preference pane and clicking the Sync tab yields the message "An unknown error occurred while performing a sync operation. Please check your account and network settings, then try again."  Looking at the Espionage drop-down menu, shows that the SyncServices folder is unlocked, as well as Mail, Address Book, Calendars folders.

Any idea what's going on here?

Hi jwyoung5,

Quit all open applications and then delete this file:

/Users/[your username]/Library/Preferences/com.apple.syncserver.plist
Let us know if that doesn't fix the problem!
