Title: Automatically Mount Espionage'd Folders on an External HDD
Post by: fellowweb on February 18, 2011, 12:44:06 PM
Hi there,

As I am obviously currently in the automization mood (http://www.taoeffect.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=319) ;) it would be great if I could automatically mount encrypted folders on an external HDD as soon as it is plugged in.

I am not sure what would be the smartest way to go about it. I would most probably like to use NetworkLocation (http://centrix.ca/NetworkLocation) to trigger some form of "mount action". But I don't know whether this action would be an AppleScript or something smarter.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Automatically unlocking folders would require entering a password for them. See my response in your other thread (http://www.taoeffect.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=319), and also, you might want to check this thread out (http://www.taoeffect.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=54&p=128) as it describes how to GUI script Espionage.

Great, thanks again. I'll have a look at the GUI scripting thread!
