Title: "Keychain error: can't store password in keychain"
Post by: snpower on September 18, 2010, 01:56:08 PM
I'm getting this when I try and lock a folder. I am using a separate keychain for espionage. Logging out and back in did not resolve.

If restarting your computer didn't help, then try opening the Keychain Access application (Spotlight for it), and from the menu choose Keychain Access > Keychain First Aid. Then enter your admin password, select Repair, and click Start.

If that doesn't work, try switching keychains in Espionage's advanced preferences. You can switch to the login keychain and then back again to the Espionage keychain.

Kind regards,

I can't switch keychains without getting a "error, can't get password for [XXX]" message.

Did you repair the keychain and restart?

Yes, I both repaired the espionage keychain and restarted.

OK, try resetting Espionage (http://www.taoeffect.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=99#p229).
