All is working now. Oddly enough a second reboot fixed the issue. Thanks!

Noticed that Espionage wasn't showing up in my menubar after updating to El Capitan today.  The process showed up as running in Activity Monitor, but I'm unable to interact with it.

Any issues that I missed in the forums or blog?

Thanks,

I saw the same thing with Postbox, so I ended up removing it from Espionage control...

Espionage 2 / Rocketbox support in 2.6
February 23, 2010, 04:41:44 PM
I notice that one of the updates in the latest version (2.6) is "NEW: Added Rocketbox support to Mail application template".

How does this affect an already existing setup (having used the Mail application template for a while now) with Rocketbox already installed.  Would it be worth it to remove the setup from Espionage and then re-add it using the new updated template?  Or, are the benefits already realized just through the upgrade.

Thanks,

Steve

Espionage 2 / Re: Questions and an observation...

Greg,

Thanks for the answers.  So if I only use Path Finder intermittantly, I shouldn't turn on the compatibility mode, correct?

Espionage 2 / Questions and an observation...
November 19, 2009, 01:04:13 PM
Hello,

First, the observation.  Espionage is now at version 2.5.4, yet the help still references 2.5.2.  Just thought you'd like to know.

Now, the first question.  In the preferences there is a setting for "Path Finder Compatibility".  What exactly does this do?

Second question.  When I have backups enabled, exactly how are the backups stored?  Are there a set number of backups kept or is it just an ongoing backup of the current state of the configured folders?

Thanks!

I also notice that without a specific entry in Espionage, iCal will keep the Mail folder unlocked (at least on my system).

The forum section "Espionage Bug Reports" actually is titled "Espionage But Reports"...

Glad to help!  :)   Using the hover technique, I've determined that the paths to the QRecallHelper app are pointing to two different locations.  The one that I manually added was in /Applications/QRecall.app/Resources/QRecallHelper.  I don't think this one was working.  The one that I added through the password prompt was pointing to /Users/smayer/Library/ApplicationSupport/QRecall/QRecallHelper.

So, they weren't true duplicates.

So performing the action like this worked!  When I look in my ignore list, I see two entries for QRecallHelper now.  Obviously one is from when I entered it manually through the Ignore List, the other added when chose to add it from the password dialog.

Is there any way to determine which is which (or if there's even a difference)?

Thanks,

Steve

I'll give this a shot and see what happens.  Thanks for the info!

I use QRecall for my daily backups and even though I've added QRecallHelper.app to the global ignorelist as a whitelisted item, I still get prompted that QRecallHelper is wanting access to my Espionage volumes.

Anyone have any experience with a situation like this and if I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Steve
