Thank you.  I posted here first in case anyone else might have some insight, but given the relatively low traffic on the forum thought it sensible to open a ticket as well.  I've replied to your queries there... hopefully we can figure out the cause.  :)

Hi,

It appears something in Espionage is occasionally causing the MacBook (running latest Sierra release) to activate high performance graphics.  As a file utility, I can't really see why this is necessary.  Is anyone else noticing the same?  See attached the Activity Monitor energy tab showing Espionage requiring HPG.

Hi,

Again thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately none of that is the issue.  The issue is that I can't locate 'the protected folder'.  I've no idea where it is on disk.  Is this information somewhere stored in Espionage 2 or a config file?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi

Thanks, but I'm afraid the old machine is also running Mavericks and has been for some time. Any further ideas?

Espionage 3 / Locating Espionage Files/Folders

Hi,

Appreciate that this might seem like a silly question, but having not accessed my Espionage protected folder(s) for some time, I've recently moved to a new Mac running Mavericks.  I migrated using the Migration Assistant, but I'm not clear if this will have moved my Espionage folders or not.  Also I was running 2.x on the previous Mac and have now moved to 3.x.

I'd like to retrieve my protected folders and get everything up and running again.  I still have access to the previous Macbook in case this won't have transferred with Migration Assistant.

Question is - how can I find the folder?  I've tried using the utility to make hidden files visible, and I've looked everywhere I can think it might have been, yet can't find it.  Is there a way to retrieve the name/location from the previous Macbook?

Thanks,

T
