Espionage 3 / Database Decryption Error
June 01, 2012, 03:33:21 PM
When I enter my master password into Espionage it thinks for a long while and eventually gives me a database decryption error and tells me to look in the log.

This is what I'm seeing;

6/1/12 6:15:36.235 PM   Espionage   ERROR (-[NSData(TECrypto) decrypt:]:131): scryptdec_buf returned: 9
6/1/12 6:15:36.235 PM   Espionage   ERROR (+[DBSubdb subdbWithData:master:pass:error:]:45): failed because: !decrypted
6/1/12 6:15:37.046 PM   Espionage   ERROR (-[NSData(TECrypto) decrypt:]:131): scryptdec_buf returned: 9
6/1/12 6:15:37.054 PM   Espionage   ERROR (+[DBSubdb subdbWithData:master:pass:error:]:45): failed because: !decrypted

Espionage 2 / Espionage Backups
May 28, 2011, 11:24:26 AM
I'm using the recommended way to backup my encrypted folders which works well, but sometimes too well. Yesterday, somehow my address book directory got corrupted somehow. I deleted it and successfully restored it from the automatically taken backup folder.

Well, Espionage backed up the corrupted database overwriting the last good backup copy. Arrgh. Do you have any ideas on how to prevent this from occurring in the future (maybe keeping 'n' backup copies, where 'n' can be set by the user on a folder by folder basis?

Espionage 2 / Critical Alert
May 11, 2011, 02:11:48 PM
I'm receiving an error 1 trying to watch Microsoft Query. It doesn't seem to be hurting anything but I see the error message every time I unlock the Office 2011 folder.

Espionage 2 / SyncServices and BareBones WeatherCal App
January 26, 2011, 04:58:14 PM
I've been have intermittent problems with WeatherCal adding/duplicating calendars for locations that I'm already monitoring. After fighting the problem for a couple of weeks I decided to remove syncservices from Espionage's protection. Haven't seen the problem since.

Since the duplicate calendars were sometimes added while I was already logged in and the syncservices folder available I don't think it had anything to do with timing problems at boot time.

Just wondering if you've seen something like this before?
