Title: Post Espionage removal errors
Post by: adcooper on July 14, 2011, 11:47:10 AM
I removed Espionage some 60+ days ago. My system had slowed. I found in console an error that repeats EVERY 10 seconds, EACH DAY.

14/07/2011 18:37:26   com.apple.launchd[1]   (com.intego.commonservices.daemon) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
14/07/2011 18:37:36   com.apple.launchd[1]   (com.intego.commonservices.daemon[50285]) posix_spawn("/Library/Intego/integod", ...): No such file or directory
14/07/2011 18:37:36   com.apple.launchd[1]   (com.intego.commonservices.daemon[50285]) Exited with exit code: 1

Can you help with this.

Thanks

Hi adcooper,

Those messages are not related to Espionage, it is part of the Intego app that you may have trashed a while ago. I'd recommend that you install the Intego app again and use their uninstaller app instead of trashing the app. For more information, please read their help article here (http://support2.intego.com/kb/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&id=214).

I don't think this would cause your system to slow down that much. It may be something else.

When you removed Espionage, did you use our uninstall method or did you manually trash Espionage? If you trashed it manually and you still see some parts of Espionage showing up in the Console app; you can download our app again from our site, install it and then when Espionage is installed, open it, unlock it, then go to the Espionage Menu > Uninstall Espionage to uninstall it fully.

Thanks for your reply. I installed Espionage and then uninstalled it from within the program. The console errors are still there.

Hi adcooper, like Mike said, those errors are unrelated to Espionage but come from a different program made by Intego (not us).
