Title: Quitting Mac Mail application
Post by: gvls on September 22, 2011, 10:05:38 PM
Hi,

Recently I've been getting the following message after quitting the mail application in mac and it asks to enter my password to unlock Mail:

"dbfseventsd wants to access: Mail"

It doesn't happen every time I quit the application, but I've gotten it several times lately. I've never entered my password because I don't know what that means or if it's safe to do, so I just cancel access.

What does that mean?

S

It's an app on your computer that wants access to the folder, I'm guessing one that comes with OS X. For this one I'd probably recommend adding it to the blacklist via the prompt (http://www.taoeffect.com/espionage/EspionageHelp/pages/ui-prompt.html).
