there are more times than not where I will not be using the espionage encrypted folder.  Is there a way to switch espionage to start manually instead of automatically when machine starts?

Hi cyglass,

One of our design requirements for Espionage was for it to use as few resources as possible when running in the background, so it should be fine to leave it running there.

You can manually start and stop it, but this would likely be a big pain in the you-know-where, and it would mean that you wouldn't be able to take advantage of double-clicking on folders to unlock them, and if you did this, we would strongly recommend that you not use Espionage to encrypt any application data as for that to work Espionage's helper must be running in the background.

If you're certain you want to do this though, you can simply stop Espionage's helper by opening Espionage's preferences and clicking the big Stop button. It won't run the next time you restart.

Kind regards,
Greg, Tao Effect
