Greg,

Upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard.  Before the upgrade, shutdown MacBook, disconnected the external drives, rebooted and TimeMachine was turned off.  Upgrade of OS X completed without problems.

On the first open of Espionage, Espionage initiated a re-run of the Installer with no errors.

A couple of issues with Espionage since the OS X upgrade.

Initially, when trying to open a folder in Espionage, there was no password prompt and the folder displayed the message saying the folder was encrypted.  I could only unlock the folders from the main Espionage window.  Tried resetting the password on one folder but that did not change the behavior.  After a couple of reboots, the problem has disappeared.  Folders are now back to prompting for their password when the folder is being opened and in a locked state.

The second problem, which still exists, is the SyncServices autologin request for the master password after login.  Mail was added to Espionage prior to the OS X upgrade which added the SyncServices to Espionage.  Prior to the OS X upgrade, SyncServices was not requesting the master password during login.   I specifically added an application, Mail in this case, to see the effect of the OS X upgrade on the application in Espionage.  SyncServices does have the autologin box checked.

What am I missing about the SyncServices login request for the master password or a password at all?

Thanks for your time and effort supporting this forum.

Espionage 2 / Re: Is the setup correct, backups included
December 22, 2010, 02:05:58 AM
Hi Greg,

In response to the backup setup....

MacBook  => external drive A  (Time Machine)
external drive B (incl Espionage Backups, Excl Espionage encryped/password files) => external drive A (Time Machine)
Espionage encrypted/password folders on external drive B => external drive B (Espionage backup)
MacBook => external drive B (SuperDuper)

As I'm typing, wondering if the Espionage backups should be on the MacBook to complete separation.
Changed SuperDuper to whitelisted.

Thanks for your time and effort supporting this forum.

Espionage 2 / Is the setup correct, backups included
December 17, 2010, 09:31:38 PM
I've started using Espionage and desire to know if all is setup correct, efficient.

mac osx 10.5.8
Espionage 2.8.7

Time Machine backups to external drive A
TM backups up macbook drive and external drive B
SuperDuper clones to external drive B

general folders in Espionage encrypted and password, blocked from TM, Espionage backups to external drive B, SuperDuper blacklisted.
general folders in Espionage are all on external drive B at this time.

No sure about the SuperDuper blacklisted setting since none of the current folders under Espionage are on the macbook drive.  When I add an application to Espionage, would the SuperDuper setting need to change to whitelisted?

Are there any special steps when I upgrade to 10.6?  What if an application is under Espionage?  What happens if I need to go back to 10.5.8 later?

Thanks.
