Espionage 2 / Restore database
June 06, 2011, 12:07:59 AM
Hi guys,

Today I had an episode of database corruption: one of my folders was stuck in the "Backup Up" state and cannot be unlocked. Thanks to the excellent auto backup feature I was able to follow the instructions in the built-in help topic, "Corrupt Espionage Database Error" and get everything working again :D

One small suggestion for the help topic, I think it should mention that "Method 1" must be performed AFTER Espionage is stopped by going to Espionage Preferences > General, and click the Stop button.

Cheers!

Espionage 2 / chmod wants to access: SyncServices
February 03, 2011, 06:44:55 PM
Hi all,

Anyone getting this dialog box every time at login?

https://skitch.com/deals/rc7h6/folder-locked (link to screenshot)

I've set SyncServices to "Autounlock at login", but that dialog pops up _after_ I entered my Espionage master password. And I have no idea what process is calling chmod. It would be nice to have a button in the unlock dialog to view the parent process info.

Thanks!

Espionage 2 / Unlock folder with Master Password?
February 01, 2011, 04:22:48 PM
Hello,

I've switched from FileVault to Espionage for 3 days now. It's a solid app and I love the easy to use application templates feature. I've got some quick questions and feature requests:

Is it possible to add an option to prompt for the master password instead of individual folder password in the Unlock Folder pop up window?

Also, I think it'd be convenient to add another option to "cache" the master password in memory for a short period of time e.g. every 3 mins. This can go hand in hand with the previous option I suggested to make unlocking / app launching much quicker.

BTW, I would like to see the padlock icons in the mail Espionage window to be clickable as a quick way to lock / unlock folders. (a la the padlocks in OS X Sys Preferences). Right now I have to 1, uncheck Locked then 2, click Save Changes to unlock a folder.

Regards,
