Espionage 2 icon will not go away

I've read the forum but I can't find a clear answer to my issue.

ESP 3 is running no problem, but I still have the icon for ESP2.
I followed the proper uninstall instructions, but after I re-booted, the icon was still there.
They produce different menus.  One is the new ESP 3 and one produces ESP 2.
I am running ESP 3.02 and had the latest version of ESP 2.
In the old menu, I can still see my folders, and unlock them, even through the contents have been removed.
Even with the menus unlocked, I still can't delete ESP 2 from the menu bar.

What do I do?

Thanks!

Hello, to manually uninstall V2 here is the list of files you have to remove:

/Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Espionage
/Users/[your username]/Library/LaunchAgents/com.taoeffect.EspionageHelper.plist
/Users/[your username]/Library/Services/EspionageMenu.service (might not exist)
/System/Library/Extensions/iSpy.kext
/Library/iSpy
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.taoeffect.ispyd.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.taoeffect.Espionage.plist (might not exist)
/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.taoeffect.Espionage (might not exist)

then delete the Application (V2) from the application folder.

Then reboot and you should be fine.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi Zsolt,

The icon has gone away but I have one error popping up every time I restart --

A warning pops and says...

"ERROR

Couldn't establish communications with iSpy. Error 1

Try restarting your computer and/or running Espionage. Espionagehelper will quit now"

Espionage 3 is running just fine...
It's just this residual error I can't eliminate.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello Steve, you did not delete all the files from the list.
Very probably these two
/System/Library/Extensions/iSpy.kext
/Library/iSpy

please check again, if you need help deleting those, let me know.

You have GOT to be kidding me.  No uninstall?  I had to manually remove all of these file.  What a crock.  Moving on from amateur hour to the pros at Truecrypt.  Jeez.

Hello, there is an uninstall, just that it conflicted with some Espionage 3 data in the Espionage version 3.0.0 This has been fixed in version 3.0.2 and now it is safe to use the uninstall option of Espionage version 2 as soon as you upgraded to version 3.0.2

I hope this helps,
