After upgrading to latest version, have noticed that folders no longer autolock .... this is true when set to global setting or custom auto lock time ....

I guess you are aware that the Espionage will auto lock upon set time "no matter what", but the folders will lock only after the Mac was idle for so long as the autolock time is set.
Pls try not to touch the Mac and measure the time, see if it will lock after set time.
