And ps. I'm only interested in encrypting movies, because I use an online backup service in the US as well. ;)

Hi!

Sorry, I missed the notification that you replied to this thread. Many thanks for testing this out! I think you're right that it's not very handy for video files this large while still working on them. So, I'm going to change my strategy and use Espionage for everything except the movies, I'll encrypt those using Truecrypt (if that actually is ok with FinalCut).

Thanks once again! Vincent

Well, that's what I call thorough investigation into a problem! :) Thanks.

With FinalCut Pro X, the amount of folders is quite limited, I think I have a library and backup folder and that seems to be it. The Library I wanted to protect is called "Macintosh HD's projects and events". After encrypting it it suddenly had an extension showing up, ".fcpbundle". I know it's a bundle, but was surprised to see this extension popping up (normally it's hidden). Also, I could enter it in Finder like a regular folder, while the normal behaviour is that it opens up FinalCut.

Thanks for the help! Vincent

Espionage 3 / FinalCut Pro X library problem
January 27, 2014, 04:14:34 AM
Hi all,

I couldn't find posts regarding FinalCut Pro X, so here it goes; I used Espionage 3 on libraries like iPhoto and iMovie and those work just fine, however FinalCut Pro X doesn't seem to like it, I can encrypt the library, but after opening it the Espionage trick doesn't work and FinalCut just creates a new library.

Is this known?

Thanks, Vincent
