Title: Preventing superduper backing up espionage folders
Post by: socrates on October 27, 2010, 11:30:13 AM
Hi

Preventing time machine from backing up espionage folder's is straightforward.

Is there a way of stopping superduper doing the same thing? straightforward or not

Thanks

Yes, add SuperDuper! to the blacklist (http://www.taoeffect.com/espionage/EspionageHelp/pages/usg-ignorelist.html).

Will this have the same effect?

What I want to do is perform scheduled backups using SuperDuper and for SuperDuper to ignore my Espionage folders, regardless of whether they are mounted or not.

But ideally, I'd like SuperDuper to backup the Espionage backups themselves which are already on my Macbook hard drive.

Thanks

Yes, I think that should work, unless SuperDuper! runs as root.
