Hi Bruce,
I tested the Growl 1.3.3 for you and no luck.
Here is what I did.
I had Growl 1.2.2, switched Espionage to use it, and it worked fine.
Then Downloaded Growl 1.3.x (the current version), and uninstalled the Legacy version 1.2.2 as Growl suggested.
Rebooted the Mac.
I tried Espionage, there were no notifications showing up.
I followed the instructions written here
http://www.ninjadesk.com/featured/fixin ... os-x-lion/ to upgrade the Growl Framework (I find it strange that the link points to SDK 1.2.2, though).
Once I replaced the Growl Framework folder I started Espionage once again, still no notifications.
I rebooted the Mac, started Espionage again, now it uses build in Espionage Notifications, in spite Growl notification set in the Espionage Preferences.
Unless you have some other way to upgrade the Framework, or a link to a different SDK, this would be it.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Rgds
Zsolt
