I am working with mail. I use espionage and lock my email folder. I quit espionage and start mail. I am asked for my password and the file is unlocked. I quit email.

I then restart email and the file is still unlocked. What am I doing wrong?

I am using version 2.0.8

Are all of the application associations for the Mail for set to "Lock On Quit"? You can check this by selecting the Mail folder in Espionage and clicking "Edit Application Associations", and then checking to make sure that all of the applications in that list have that checkbox enabled (and make sure that Mail as associated with the Mail folder).

I also notice that without a specific entry in Espionage, iCal will keep the Mail folder unlocked (at least on my system).
