Espionage Image Names

Postby AstralWolf » Mon Jan 17, 2011 7:23 am

I had a hard drive containing an Espionage image get corrupted to where it would not verify successfully, but was able to be mounted in read only mode from a different boot disk.

I copied the data from that machine, but was not able to mount the Espionage image. I'm wondering if there is any way to take the encrypted image from this copy and enable it to be read on a new hard drive installation.

I have an older backup of the files, but I'd prefer to recover the newer files if at all possible. Any suggestions?

FYI, I found it. In the same directory as the alias for mounting the encrypted folder, there is a file called .X.sparsebundle, where X is the name of your folder. I just opened it and entered my password and I was able to retrieve the contents.
