I'm using trial version 2.8.5 and have noticed that the the Alert Denying Access still presents itself even though I have Show Info Notifications and Use Growl for Notifications unchecked on the Preferences/Notification panel.

As explained in , the info notifications are a specific type of notification (they are the green ones).

The other notifications (Alert and Critical notifications), are too important to be turned off, and as Espionage runs in the background, it's the only way for Espionage to tell you that something wen't wrong.

Even these notifications can be turned off (if you really want), by using Growl for notifications, and adjusting the preferences for those notifications in Growl's preference pane to disable them. We don't recommend doing this however, because if you do and there's a problem, you'll have no way of knowing it.
